Through its affiliate the John Street Roundhouse Development Corporation, State has entered into a long term head lease with the City of Toronto for the historical Roundhouse adjacent to the Rogers Centre and the CN Tower, an important Canadian heritage retail property. State has carried out the revitalization and adaptive reuse of the Roundhouse structure and surrounding park lands on behalf of the Cultural Division of the City of Toronto and the Toronto Rail Heritage Association (“TRHA”). The project has been awarded the prestigious Toronto Heritage Award for the preservation of character defining elements and adaptive re-use as a public space, as well as a Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP) Award for excellence.
